Bio paragraph: Claudio is a Italian researcher/analyst, working as an independent researcher on weapons, arms flows, and conflicts since November 2011 and after having served as an arms expert and consultant on UN Panels of Experts in Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Sudan. Over the recent past, Claudio conducted extensive field-research in Sudan’s border and conflict affected areas, including Darfur, South Kordofan and Blue Nile states. Since 2002, Claudio also gathered experience in working with non-governmental organizations on SALW control and SALW transfer control, particularly with GRIP (Belgium), Saferworld (UK) and the Small Arms Survey (Switzerland).
