Bio paragraph: James Bevan has more than a decade of experience in tracking weapons in armed conflicts across Africa. A former field researcher with the Small Arms Survey and head of the UN Group of Experts on Côte d’Ivoire, he is now the director of Conflict Armament Research—A UK-based organization that identifies and tracks conventional weapons in contemporary armed conflicts. He has published widely on all aspect of small arms and light weapons and supported a range of national and international arms control policy processes.
