On October 28, president Zhang Yan was invited to attend the Symposium on the release of the new book "the Road of Joining Hands - Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Restoration of the Legitimate Seat of the People's Republic of China in the United Nations" held by the United Nations Association of China in Beijing. Wang Chao, President of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs and President of the United Nations Association of China, Wu Hailong, President of the Chinese Public Diplomacy Association, Hu Wenli, Vice President and Director General of the United Nations Association of China, officials of relevant departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a number of relevant experts and scholars engaged in United Nations Research attended the symposium.  

 The new book "the Road of Joining Hands - Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Restoration of the Legitimate Seat of the People's Republic of China in the United Nations" embodies the wisdom and thinking of many senior former diplomats and experts on United Nations issues. President Zhang Yan wrote the new book with the theme of "highlighting the responsibility of major powers and promoting world peace and security -- China's practice and contribution in the field of arms control and disarmament of the United Nations".
