Secretary General Li Chijiang Attended the China-U.S.‘Artificial Intelligence and International Security’Meeting

The Center for International Security and Strategy of Tsinghua University (CISS) and the Brookings Institution of the United States jointly held the fourth round of dialogue of ‘Artificial Intelligence and International Security’ online on April 20, 2021. Director of CISS Ambassador Fu Ying and President of the Brookings Institution John Allen addressed the meeting. Secretary General Li Chijiang attended the meeting as a Chinese panelist. Experts from both countries took stock on the outcomes of previous dialogues, acknowledging the value of dialogues in promoting the global governance of artificial intelligence and international security as well as reducing the risk of miscalculation between the two countries. Experts also expounded their respective concerns on the prospects of development and application of artificial intelligence in the field of security and had in-depth discussions on specific technological and policy issues.
