CACDA Held China-U.S. Track 2 Arms Control Dialogue

The China Arms Control and Disarmament Association (CACDA), the Center for International Security and Strategic (CISS) of Tsinghua University, and the National Committee on Foreign Policy (NCAFP) of the U.S. jointly held a China-U.S. Track 2 Arms Control Dialogue on November 12, 2020. CACDA Secretary-General Li Chijiang and President & CEO of NCAFP Ambassador Susan Elliott delivered opening remarks. Director of the Asia-Pacific Security Forum of NCAFP Susan Thornton chaired the meeting. More than 20 participants from both sides, including U.S. former Assistant Secretary of Defense Andrew Weber, former Assistant Secretary of State Anita Friedt, Frank Rose, CISS academic committee member Yao Yunzhu, CISS researcher Li Bin attended the meeting.

The experts conducted in-depth discussions on nuclear strategy, nuclear modernization and strategic stability, as well as the future of China-U.S. arms control dialogue.
