From April 29 to May 10, 2019, CACDA Vice President & Secretary -General Li Chijiang led a delegation to the Third Preparatory Committee for the 2020 Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) at the headquarter of the United Nations in New York. Experts from China Institute of Atomic Energy, China Institute for Nuclear Information and Economics and Peking University joined the delegation.

Mr. Li Chijiang delivered remarks in the General Debate of the conference on behalf of CACDA, expressing views on the international security situation and NPT review process. Mr. Li also attended the side event co-hosted by the Verification Research, Training and Information Centre (VERTIC) and UNODA on verification issues. During the conference, the delegation had wide exchanges with representatives from UNIDIR, Arms Control Association (U.S.), James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies, etc.
