On 9 October 2015, the Report of Study on Japan's Nuclear Materials compiled by CACDA and China Institute for Nuclear Information and Economics (CINIE) was released in Beijing, with Chinese and English version available. CACDA Secretary-General Chen Kai, Senior Adviser Zhu Xuhui and CINIE President Pan Qilong attended the event. 

It is the first report on the Japanese nuclear materials issued by Chinese academia. The report is composed of 6 chapters including Foreword, Summary, Japan’s Plutonium Materials, Japan’s Uranium Materials, Status of Supply and Demand of Plutonium in Japan, Response of International Community, Risks Arising from the Imbalance of Supply and Demand of Nuclear Materials in Japan and Recommendations. 

In addition to introducing the basic information on Japan's nuclear materials, the Report analyzed the problems and risks in relation to Japan's large inventory of sensitive nuclear materials and also provided our views and suggestions on the solution of relevant issues.

The report was produced by scholars and experts long focusing on the Japanese nuclear materials and capacity, with data and information collected from publicly available resources. It is a joint-project by CACDA and CINIE, aiming to follow the issue of Japan's nuclear materials, update the report and release it annually in the future.
